Training basics The different types of training used in the Criminal Justice field can basically be trimmed down to two major ways of thought. One used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (or FBI), is a teaching way of training the recruits. The police agencies in your city, county and state, use a different way, which is more quasi-military. Both ways are very used and are needed for the field of service. Although different, they have a common goal of protecting the citizens within their jurisdiction. Federal Bureau of Investigation The Federal Bureau of Investigation and other like agencies, have a strong way of teaching their new recruits into their line of Criminal Justice. Priorities of the FBI are as follows from the FBI website, ââ¬Å"Protect the United States from terrorist attack. Protect the United States against foreign intelligence operations and espionage. Protect the United States against cyber-based attacks and high-technology crimes. Combat public corruption at all levels. Protect civil rights. Combat transnational/national criminal organizations and enterprises. Combat major white-collar crime. Combat significant violent crime,â⬠(Mission, 2016). The many priorities of the FBI are important and needed to keep the United States of America safe. Because there are so many different priorities, there are that many different fields within the FBI.
